GrandeMan, <br />Chalk and Dullcote? That's the way to go, in my opinion! I won't have but 9 or 10 amazingly weathered cars on my layout, out of the 250 or so rolling stock. All the good ones will probably go to eBay. But, everything else will probably get a light coat of something to it. So, unless you're trying to portray one particular prototype or a few prototypes combined(as I do) for a special project, what you're doing is probably all you need to be doing. Also, they look good. Keep it up!
