I used gray embroidery thread, CA'd to each insulator. Lots of hours involved! I tried a metallic thread, too unrealistic and also black thread which blended into the scenery too much. I plan on weathering some more rolling stock, using some new techniques I read about on this forum and will post photos (if they turn out decent). <br /> <br />I plan to dismantle this layout soon and start another and will try new techniques on power lines then, have some ideas about using the fine copper wire from loco motor windings if I can get it to droop realistically. By the way, the thread starts to stretch and droop realistically after about 2 weeks. <br /> <br />Lots of fine weathering ideas in these posts.... <br /> <br />Love that challenger, Aggro.... Haven't had the time to weather mine yet, still looks like it just came out of the Cheyenne shop!
