Trainworld Online Ordering?
Posted by davekelly on Monday, January 30, 2006 4:51 PM
Was just surfin around earlier shopping for a couple of structure kits. Went to the Trainworld site and it had a link to trainworldonline.com. Looks like Trainworld is working towards online ordering. While the current offerings look very slim (mostly Large Scale from what I saw) this could become a very popular site if they someday get their entire inventory on it.

I just noticed that, too. But the blowout prices at the parent site are none too shabby! When I called them back in October, they would not take a phone order from a first-timer at TW. I had to download an order form, complete, date, and sign it, and they could fill the order that way.

I have bought several times at TW. It is just a hastle to call in an order. I hate giving out my CC info over the phone so I give them part of the info and send them and email with the rest. It will be great when they get their website to the point where you can order online.

Apparently they are listening to the customer. I'm sure a number of people have requested on line ordering. I know I have.

I have never had a problem of any kind with TW. Their people are sometimes a little brusk, but they always get the order right at the advertised price. They have been saying for months that they would soon have on-line ordering, but I'm sure it will take considerable time. Their inventory is staggering. In the-mean-time, I'll continue to order by phone. Good outfit!
