Like many others, I buy kits and rolling stock that I like as it becomes available so I can put it to use when the empire is built some day. However I try to build a structure or a model as soon as I get it, so that it does not just sit around collecting dust. This allows me to contruct small dioramas or to rotate structures on and off of my small layout. Could you imagine finishing laying track for that dream layout and then looking at the mountain of kits that would have to be assembled?
