That's a Bachmann cable car you're using as a model, right? Nice...I have one of those I am in the process of kitbashing--I took two of them, sawed off the long end from one and the short end from the other, and stuck them together--they're a fairly close representaiton of a "California car" that ran in my hometown (open ends, enclosed center.) The only problem is that with the open ends I can't figure out how to power it!

Live overhead is a neat, neat part of trolley modeling--I recommend www.trolleyville.com for some advice on how to do overhead, as well as in-street trackage and lots of other trolley advice. Looking forward to seeing how this project comes along!
