Does anyone know if any manufacture has done the NS TopGons in ho scale. These cars are pretty common where I live, and would be a great addition to a model railroad with a eastern setting
Thanks
Greg

I don't think so.
Looks like kitbashing is the only option. Cut the bottoms off umpteen dozen 100 ton hoppers and then put scratch built boxes in their place? It could be done.
Trinity RD4s are nice cars, too. [;)]

Because only NS uses Top Gons, which they build in their own shops in Roanoke, Virginia, it's unlikely that they will ever be produced by a company such as Athearn, but check Bowser, Greenway Products, or other custom producers, because I think I saw some advertised by one of these companies and they were offering up to 100 road numbers.
