Wow...how did I miss this one!!! Page 43 in the December MR.....Just what I wanted....a retirement home in sunny Tucson!!!! 11,000 square feet (probably has 300 baths and 42 bedrooms) with a full basement that has IN-STALLED a ready made 25' by 50' Rio Grande HO layout....scenery by Dave Frary and Bob Hayden...has a guest house and 3.3 acres.........

Man, if I could only convince all my relatives to move to Tucson, we might be able to pool our money and RENT the guest house!!! Hmmm. Move in and start railroading!!

Did you check out the realtor's website? The place is only 1.995 million. Quite the bargain, huh? I'd probably have run right out and bought it if the railroad modeled had been the BNSF. I'm just not than in to the D&RG.

Well, we could maybe come up with the down payment. With a bunch of us together we could maybe even handle the monthly payments. But how on earth is anyone going to be able to afford air conditioning 11,000 square feet in Tucson??

Doesn't matter, Jerry. We have to have 50 poeple involved, but this place HAS to have enough bedrooms, so all the traffic going in and out of the house would provide the ventilation required.
