Layout websites
Posted by Hawks05 on Tuesday, November 8, 2005 3:54 PM
I'm kind of interested in looking at other peoples layouts. I'm more of a modern day person when it comes to trains. Ok so I can't stand passenger or steam trains at all. I'm more of a Geep and onward person. I've grown up with SD40-2's, GP38-2's, GP40s, and the big ol' new age locomotives.

So if you know of any place to find a list or something of people's model railroad websites. I've found 2 so far. the Central Indiana and Ohio Railroad. I'm kind of interested in new age prototype layouts or even freelanced layouts.

If you know of any good sites that show freelanced/prototypical layouts in the modern era let me know. I'm trying to come up with ideas for my own freelance road since I can't do much of anything else with my layout down at school.

Have you looked at the albums in www.railimages.com? They must have a couple hundred. Each one represents another model railroader (okay, some are only railfans with no layouts). Obviously not all are modern day stuff, but you can glance through lots of good work.

Oh, I've gone through those plenty of times. They are really nice, but what I was looking for were like websites with sections. One for locomotives, one for rolling stock, one for the history, one of just layout photos. Just stuff like that, maybe should have been a little more specific.

This is a link that was posted on the Layouts forum the other day. It's some of the best MR scenery I've seen.
