So after stalking the President, he finally shot him twice. However, Garfield did not die from the bullet wound as so much as he did from the doctors who treated him. He lived several months after with what turn out to be death by infection and blood poisoning.

Yes a British Bulldog revolver, which is a 44 .cal, I through in the magnum just to confuse people.

no confusion possible. 44 mag didn't show up until the mid 50s. The Winchester rifle was non-starter due to size and the 38 spl was 20th century inovation. Proces of elimination
