I've Noticed Something. It Seems Like We Have Kits For Nearly Every Industry Out There Except For The Cotton Industry.[|)]Why?[?]Surely Somebody Out There Could Make A Generic MOdel Of A Cotton Gin and A Cotton Compress.[:0]

I think it was EL Moore who scratchbuilt a depression era Cotton Gin out of his beloved strathmore board - I enjoyed the article, but this was probably late '70s MR era.
I guess the fact that cotton mills don't look much different from other mills of their day http://www.cmhpf.org/essays/cottonmills.html means that you can just use any old mill building, and add signs which in effect say it's a cotton mill - I think cotton was shipped, as many things were, in boxcars - not sure if that's still true today (I know a lot of cotton is imported using containers).

Hmm, not sure if its the utter collapse of Cotton and Textile industry in North Carolina over the past decade, but it seems tough to get any pictures off the web of modern era (1950s-1970s) mills..
