Passengers in lighted cars.

I found out something of interest for all of us passenger car modelers.

While installing the grab irons (finally, after 2 years) on my Rivarossi 85' smoothsides, I decided while I had them open I would put in a couple passengers.

Since I don't have my seated passengers painted yet, I thought I would place a couple standing people in the observation car. There is one problem, however, since I installed the lighting kit, the people are too tall! They can stand in the lower section under the dome, but not in the rest of the car!

Oh well, I wanted to repaint the carpet as I didn't like the color anyhow....[:D]

Even seated passengers are too tall for their heads to be visible because the seats in the models are too high. You can cut off the passengers' feet to lower the ones who are standing so their heads don't hit the lights, but there's not much that can be done about the seats. I've tried filing down the sitting figures, but they still don't look right.
