Got to ride a GP-7 this weekend

The local railway historical society had an open house this weekend... offering train rides in cabooses and their 1951 Colo. & Wyoming GP-7. Never been inside a locomotive before. Fun experience!

Lucky you! Maybe someday I will get to SEE a LOCO let alone ride in one. No trains down here in the FLorida Keys. They have an old Passenger car from the old railroad but thats about it.

Yes... just had to gloat a little. And... of course, forgot the camera. [D)] I thought it was so neat that in this age of "cover your ---" they took the risks they took to allow the public access to their equipment, and share some history.
