Walmart Finds...
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, September 27, 2005 6:19 PM
Have been reading here from some of the good gents that they have been finding some good deals at Walmart in particular John Deere in scale products from Athearn, so the OL and I went down to the local Walmart last night and lookie what I found:

[image]http://mysite.verizon.net/coyote97/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/bd_1_b.jpg[/image]
(stole a pic off ebay)

An Athearn F7A Locomotive with dual flywheels; 40' Grain Car; 40" Flat Car with 2 Model 'B' John Deere Tractors; Tank Car; and Caboose, all in the John Deere Green Livery. Transformer, EZ-Track, Connectors, and Wire Feed Loop. We picked it up for 75.00 now that (I think) is a deal.

Thanks for the tip guys.

Peace.

You've started down the slippery slope. I don't know how well that is going to fit in the desert along Route 66 - Santa Fe tracks! If you're not careful you will end up like me collecting stuff for 8 or 9 prototypes not to mention the freelance just cause you like them.....

My LHS had that for $110. Good find! That'd make a kid real happy at Christmas.

Our local Wal Mart just did a price rollback on all of their Branchline and Detail Associates stuff. Next week they are supposedly going to do a major rollbackk an all of their remaining Genesis Challengers to try to move them. Inventory reduction before Christmas?

Just kiddin'. Wanted to see if anybody is paying attention this morning. Helluva thought, though. One stop shopping for the whole family. I wouldn't mind going to Wally World anymore.[:o)][:D]

That was Charlie. "Freelance" is the movement to free an imprisoned writer. [:)]
