Some how I suspect someone may point out the sign to the "guests". An excellent tradition continues in the hobby .... humor in good taste.

Nice sign.[(-D] All you need is a marking from an explosion blasting it and it will be perfect!![:D]

I'm glad ya'll like Billy Bob's handiwork...[8D]

The sign is a Blair line kit. The bullet holes were made with a small hand drill and #74 bit . I then dipped an awl in silver for the bullet hole effects. Total time, including cutting out, glueing the post and weathering the sign, about 10 minutes.

I like the little details you add to your layout. It adds a lot of character and reality to it.

I have to keep all these ideas you pop out organized somewhere so I can "borrow" them when I get to the detail stage.

Though here in Illinois it won't be Billy Bob, but Ricky Johnson (seems to be a name I hear all the time on the police scanner, causing trouble)

Thanks Terry. I hope you will use it someday, that would be the ultimate compliment.

I hit enter on the previous post before I saw yours, Steve. Thanks for you comment as well. Your layout has been an inspiration to me too. If I ever get to England, I'd like to experience some Joint Line operations first hand. [8D]

Ya know guys, I put this pic/caption up more for the humor value than anything, but the responses have been such that a little light just came on in my head. I've been wanting to submit a pic for Trackside Photos for a while now. It's really not a big deal to me, but LGM would be delighted to have a pic from his layout in the magazine. I'm thinking a cop inspecting the vandal's damage with a mine employee as a train approaches in the background might be the scene to send in. I'll have to think some more on this...
