Micro Machines were made by Monogram and not Mattel, Con-Cor picked up the dies. Road Champs makes really neat American Buses in HO Scale, check with Toys R Us. Contact Euro-Rails in New York, they were doing the state cop cars and even marketed a Viper in HO. Ya just gotta look around to find decent HO vehicles, however the cost of producing these cars is high. Companys like GM in particular charge money to get the the right to produce scale models of their cars, Ford is more liberal, which is why you see F-150's and Taurus available, we need new Mustangs.
