MR ran a piece on the W&W in the early 1970s - I believe it was a "railroad you can model." You might want to check the index - thay can probably provide you with a Xeroxed article from the archives.

I used Intermountain's undec 2 bay ACF hopper with W&W decals from Oddball Decals and did up 5 of their cars used to haul sand. Most of their GP 9 came from the NKP but
don't know of anyone doing the loco decals.
If you live in the South Jersey area The W&W has a shop and yard in Bridgeton and are
very friendly towards railfans and modelers. Just make sure you stop in at their office which is a restored palor car.

The W&W crew seems to be fantastic!! One of their engineers is a member in our local model railroad club in Winchester. For motive power they are using primarily GP-9's at this time with the low noses on the short hood. Paint scheme is black and yellow. They are leasing an old RS-11 to a local grain mill to use as needed. Here in Winchester the W&W uses an 18 mile main from Gore, VA into Winchester. This is primarily used for the transport of covered hoppers from the sand mine in Gore. They also purchased the old PRR tracks from Winchester 42 miles north to Hagerstown, MD. This was originally the route of the Cumberland Valley Railroad until 1919 when they became a part of the PRR. I have found pictures on a google search under Winchester & Western. Do the google search and look under the tab that reads "images". Best of luck.

At one time, the Winchester and Western used a former B&O SW-1. If you could find one of the old Walthers models in B&O colors, all you would have to do is remove the B&O lettering and spell out Wincherster & Western with decals or dry transfers.

Don't have any photos of the models, the intermountain cars are also not 100% correct for the W&W hoppers. Used Testors Model Master Sand #33531, i took photos of the
cars when newly purchased in 97 so the sand color is a close match. I operate with engineers from the W&W and the SMS railroads and they say the cars are close enough. You should be able to get photos of the cars either at the Millville or Bridgeton
yards. The W&W is supposely getting some new grain hoppers if I find anything out let you know.
