HO F Units

Has anybody experience of using Stewart and Genesis F Units running together on DC. Do they run well together? If not does any one have experience of swapping Stewart and Genesis bodies and chassis? Is it possible? I've got B&M F2A(Gen) and FT A&B units (St) on order and would like to run a three unit set. I already have Genesis F7 AB and could possibly change chassis from that set to make up the FT/F2 B&M set on Genesis chassis although I do know that the FT trucks have different spacing etc. Views please.
Thanks
Chris

I have models of both Stewart FTs and other F units and a
set of Genesis F3A/B. I have found that theyall perform quite
well together on DC power. I have no complaints. As far as
changing drives under shells, FTs are not compatible with
anything else. Not only is the truck center spacing different,
but the overall length is as well. Other F units are pretty much
completely interchangeable. I do this because I prefer to start
with undecorated Highliner shells so that I may detail them to
suit the prototype that I model-the Great Northern Railway. I then
custom paint the shells and install drives. I have used many
different drives under these shells: Intermountain, Stewart. even
Proto 1000 and find that they all work quite well. I would rate the
Intermountain drives as the best-not so much for running performance,
because that is fairly equal, but the Intermountain drives have the
best detail and lighting system for the price. Hope this helps.

I was a bit worried about a Stewart/Genesis lash-up but that's good information
