Yard Tower HELP
Posted by John Busby on Thursday, September 8, 2005 9:11 AM
Hi all
A friend of mind has asked me to find a space age looking
yard tower that was in MRR mag quite a while ago..
He thinks it was a Santa FE tower on three or four legs.
the drawing was in N scale.
Can any one shed any light on which year and mothe the tower was in.
regards John

John,

Did you check the Walthers catalog? Some of the Euro-design structures by Pola, Brawa, or Helijan (I'm probably butchering the spelling on all of them) may have something along those lines.

Hi Tom
My friend Stretch Wants that specific tower which
both of us know the drawings oF the tower are in Model Railroader
Magazine we have both seen it in fact I have the magazine in the last twenty years or so of variouse model magazines I have bought been given Ect..
None of the Euro towers are anything like it I have nothing on N scale any more I sold the whole lot 3 years ago to get a garden railway.
My friend got all my out of date catalogues and structures.
The tower will have to be scratch built its the only way to get it
I just need to find out which year and month magazine it is in.
So I dont have to waste the next 12 months going through my magazines instead of building structures for my railway and holding up my friends pet project the same length of time wasting both of our limited modeling time
I owe him he is building the scale model barge that will float on the pond and I will not have to pay for the propper boat varnish.
regards John

John,

Try going to the MR main web page and doing a search for it. That may quicken you efforts quite a bit.

Tom

Update: John, I tried looking on the MR web page and can't seem to find where the "search for articles" link is. I'll keep looking.
