Mine came a couple days ago in north central Illinois.

Hope they do one next time on the 1960's, though!

Got mine a few days ago, but I have a suggestion for the next issue of this kind (single-edition, higher priced): a decal sheet of signs and advertisements appropriate to the period.

Got mine Thursday, southern Alabama. Really enjoying it, even though I model contemporary NS.

Got mine Wednesday or Thursday, southern Illinois near St. Louis. Excercised extreme patience in not opening it until Friday. Now I'm sloooooooowly working through it and enjoying every minute of it.

Where in Maine? I'm about 20 miles SE of Waterville and haven't yet received mine.

Nasty [censored] words will be exchanged with the [censored] owners of this [censored] establishment if the [censored] issue doesn't [censored] get here on [censored] Monday.

I mean it, people. I am [censored] at my [censored] breaking point.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go wash my mouth out with soap.[:)]

It's really kind of hard to support your local hobby shop when the nearest hobby shop that's worth the name is a 150 mile roundtrip.

Got mine Friday and am savouring it one article at a time. It sure brings back all the sights, sounds, and smells of my youth! '54, '55,did x-mas mail loading nights at Oakland mole, then '56-'57 last year of h.s. I oiled freights at West Oakland on graveyard shift. After grad I did apprenticeship for car repair/inspection etc. Finished that and no jobs so I went student firing. finished that and hosteled for a while , then -no jobs. but it all comes back! using a fuzee to light the coal stove in the carmen's shack, waiting in the wee hours for the next train to be made up, the cab forwards panting while waiting to hook up. I worked the night the last one left Oakland for Dunsmuir, I was off when the last one went to Roseville to head for Donner. After that there were only a few teakettle switchers left but most everything from there on was diesel. but, hey, gas was 27.9/gal and I was young with a '50 ford flathead and life was good!
