Once you determine that they both work just fine, you could offer to ship one back for, say, $250 S&H. Don't forget the $20 un-stocking fee. [}:)]

Yea! no dought. Make sure the one you keep RUNS! That would stink to send the good one back and get stuck with a lemon.

Before you send the one back to them, do a couple of things. Run both of them. Make sure you're really wanting to keep that specific one. Like they said before, don't keep the lemon. Also, if you like the one that doesn't have the front coupler, but WANT the front coupler, swap them out. Can't really do that with the sound though.
Also, contact the place you bought it from. Explain everything (you shouldn't need to explain if you're swapping the front coupler though). Make sure they know WHY you're returning it. Otherwise they might think that you didn't want it or that it wasn't working right and you want a replacement. If it's a quality store, they might offer you a reward of some sort for being so honest and returning it. Maybe store credit or something. Don't expect much, but they may just surprise you.
Let us know how it turns out too. We don't like to pass on a really good store with great items/prices/customer service!!!

Who was the vendor? What great customer service, order one get TWO!!! The least that they can do is reimburse you for the cost of shipping one of them back to them!

Just a thought here, MAKE SURE they did't bill you for both. I would check my creditcard billing just in case. I have had it happen to me, it was for online software, was a real pain to get credit back, while that may not be your case just make sure. Hard to think that they would send 2 without billing for them both.

They can still nail the debit card, but if you have confirmed with the bank that the amount listed on the invoice is what they took out of your account then cool. Debit/Credit both work the same way, when it comes to electronic transactions. People can still kite money with a debit card.

You need to rub some of us around here for some good luck [:)]

You know... I think it's a USPS regulation if someone sends you something you didn't order (which is a bit squeaky in this case), you don't have to pay for it...

However, since I expect you'll want to do business with them in the future, I wouldn't recommend it...

I wonder if you got someone else's order? I wonder if that someone else is complaining about only getting one when he ordered two?

Nice to know you were honest and returned it.[:)] If you kept the other one then you may have been stealing.[:O]

I commend you on your honesty. It seems to be a rare virtue these days. My hat is off to you, and to your parents for instilling you with good morals.
