Intermodal Ins and Outs

If you're looking in HO, good luck! Intermodal equipment seems to be getting hard to find. Athearn have offered single double-stack cars (their own and one "inherited" from Rail Power Products), drawbar-coupled 3 unit cars, 5-unit articulated cars, and the Impack spine cars - all getting hard to find. Walthers have offered single and 3-unit double stacks (different design to the Athearn ones), 5-unit articulated spine cars (can handle both containers and semi-trailers) and the "front runner" 4-wheel spine cars. Both have also offered the 85' flatcars with either trailer hitches or container mounting pins. There are other manufacturers out there, these are the ones I've seen though. Hope this is of some help!
