Phila. Market-Frankford El Line
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, December 27, 2002 8:25 PM
I have got it in my head to try to model the Philadelphia Market-Frankford El Line of the 40’s/50’s era in “n”. The problem is finding information and specs on the cars and stations. I believe Brill made the cars, but I am not sure. If anyone out there has any info, specs or photo’s to share, I sure would appreciate it.

"You can't get to heaven on the Frankford El!"

I could help you with the 1961 vintage Budd cars, as I spent a lot of time riding in those cars. There are still a couple of those sets running around today.

There was a guy who regularly posted to a.b.p.trains who wrote a ton of stuff about SEPTA, but I do not recall his name. You may want to try a searching the a.b.p.r picture archive site:

Good Luck
