I generally use an architectural scale. I do have an engineering scale when looking at site plans.

Or do you mean in printing? It depends on the sheet of paper I'm printing too. I often use 3/16"=1' so I can fit a drawing on smaller sheets of paper. Some building officials require 1/4" scale.

Since I do a lot of mailing, I have two postage scales, a 16 oz. beam scale and a 5 lb capacity scale for parcels.

There's a scale in the bedroom for measuring human weight, but it is seldom used.

Or do you mean the famous Muddy Creek Poll Scale for rating the silliness of polls?

Wayne
