The points put forth in this Forum Clinic are good to a point. You can get the same approach, same major points, but unbelieveable detail in how-to by simply purchasing the book, "Scenery for Model Railroads" from Kalmbach Publishing. I hope I have the title correct, I am referencing the book by Dave Frary. It is the bible, the cookbook to decent scenery, for ten thumbed people like me. <br /> <br />Same wonder about the article on making pine trees in the current MR. All these techniques have appeared in individual articles in MR over the years. Nothing really new here. And the article left out the methods developed by, I think, a fellow named Jack Work. His method is labor intensive to a point, but produces the best lookig <br /> foreground trees I have yet seen (IMHO). <br /> <br />Are we reinventing the wheel? Or am I just too old to appreciate re-runs. <br /> <br />Steam is the real deal. <br /> <br />Tom
