Changing Diesel Loco Sideframes
Posted by pcarrell on Sunday, July 17, 2005 8:13 PM
Exactly how would one go about doing this?

The plastic is not really glueable, is it?

Or would it be better to make a hard connection such as a small hole drilled in and then a pin inserted to hold it?

Anyone have any experience with this?

You guys are such great modelers that i know the answer is out there among you.

Now if I can only talk you into sharing...[8D]

On the bottom of each truck is a cover-plate held in with small clips. If thecover-plate is carefully removed you will see small tabs holding the sideframes in. Move the tabs and the sideframes are easily removed. They can now be painted or changed. Jeff
