My layout is located in my den. We have bilevel house with the main living areas in the upper level. We had to do some remodling of south half of the lower level A photographic darkroom was removed resuliting in a 28' by 12' room which houses my train layout and home office. The layout is 9' by 9' 44.5 " above the floor. The space under the layout is used for storage--mostly train related in plastic contaners. <br /> <br />John
