any one that has bought one of Athearn's undecorated topeka or round roof cab CF7's are holes already drilled for the plastic stanchions, or do you have to drill holes yourself? i saw a picture of an undecorated CF7 at discounttrains.com and it appeared there were no holes for handrail stanchions on the sides, front or back. the undecorated shell used in the photo looked like it might have been one fo the original rail power products shells

Ido not have the Athearn model. But I do have 2 RPP shells 1round cab in Santa Fe and 1 undecorated square cab.I had to drill for all steps and hand rails. If you need help with the location of where to drill check out some Santa Fe photo web sites. There are a lot of CF7 photos out there. I hope this helps you out
