I know of at least six engines from out local group that ran very poor. If your engine runs well, be glad. My engine had the marker lights, but the headlight does not work. It ran so poorly that the lighting was not even considered at the time. Lionel did replace one of the six engines that I mentioned and the new one ran just like the other five, which is not good. I worked on the running qualities of my engine and got it to run fairly well with a few adjustments and 20 hours or so of running in on rollers.
