Polarization is a tradition in this country extending before the revolution. An example are the writings of Jefferson and Madison. What's happened is civil discussion has lost out to ad hominem attacks. This forum has a good moderator that helps those few to remember to be civil or be removed. We do our part by not rising to the bait. <br />I do like well thought out and vigorous civil debate.
