Check in the layout forum here -- there was a discussion not long ago about using an Atlas turntable as the base for a larger turntable. The gist of it is that you use the Atlas turntable as the base, and put a scratch-built or other bridge on top of it. There's links in that discussion to websites that demonstrate this idea. <br />
