Carl--it just keeps getting better, my friend! I hope you get a fan for the garage, since the heat buildup in there can get pretty awesome. I know from experience. Really nice work, there, though!

looks good!...maybe you can talk your better half into letting you pull down the garage doors, board it up and install an A/C unit....I remember my garage layout from the early 80's...man it was hot out there!...( i also remember working on the layout with my shirt off because it was so hot in the garage and i was sweating so bad... I layed across the rails after forgetting to turn off the power pack and it lit me up like a christmas tree!...and who would think that 12v could pack such a wallup....please, don't try that at home)...chuck

Nothing new but here are some historical pre-painted shots of my bait / fishing store. My first attempt at scratch building after I got bored painting the DPM kits in the background. I get bored easily which is probably why I enjoy the diversity of this hobby so much.

The original model along with the plans can be found here, although the original is O scale the plans can be resized to HO.

Here are plans for another structure.

There is also some other good stuff on the site.

Have fun & be safe.

I'm sitting in Portland OR, airport waiting for a plane. Free wireless internet all over the airport, darned good if I may say. I got to visit 3 fine hobby shops between customer visits during the last 2 days in Portland and a visit to Allied model trains in LA on Monday (I like my job!) So my mid week madness is that I have over $100 in scenic detail parts in my suit case to get on the layout when I get home. There is nothing more satisfying than browsing a good LHS with lots of detail parts and scenery items. I also have a nice pendent for the wife which should offset any comments about the contents of my bags[swg]

Thanks Carl, (feels like I'm talkin to myself,,,,,,, nothing new) its going to be at the place in my signature pic, its painted fairly satisfactorily right now but I'll probably weather the walls a bit more and the roof definately needs some work. Apart from that its just adding the details, currently waiting on a UPS delivery for some, and the rest I will 'hash' together some how. I'll post some pics when complete of a small diorama I've made of the area as the layout maybe gone by then, I just couldnt bear to part with the bait shop for some reason, maybe because it was my first scratchbuild, or maybe just my latest, I'm hoping it will be replaced as my favourite by something better in the future.

Keep on keepin on
Karl.
