That looks nice, something like my dad at work. (Well, sort of; we live in northern Indiana and the landscape is flat.)

You may be interested in a book titled A Sampling of Penn Central, which has a couple pages of pictures of your prototype ex-NYC branch. The author, a former division chief, discusses operations on the lines he ran. The pre-NYC name for your line is in there too but I don't remember what it is. For variety you could paint up one locomotive in its logo.

I've always liked Conrail-and CSX too as far as that goes. I think it's the combination of colors they use more than anything...
I just recently got some good pictures of a Conrail Dash unit like those pictured that passed through down here where I live last weekend.
