OK, I'm the first voter, so I guess I have to explain myself to the exit pollsters and newsmedia. I chose Learning, because I'm am just having a ball with all the new stuff, and even the old stuff that's slowly coming back through 40 years of neglect and beer. All the modelling techniques are brand new to me, and I'm discovering an artsy-craftsy side that I didn't really know I had. I'm having a blast with plaster castings, and I can't wait until I've got enough track to make the transition to DCC.

I checked 'using your imagination' because while not a "detail" kinda guy, I do like a layout that has some scenes, or dioramas built into the layout. Every layout has track and mountains, but is there a mountain goat or an elk on that mountain? Is there a town drunk in a door stoop? Are some rooms in houses lit up, or is the layout all dark?Little things like this make the scene come alive. Sure, the trains are the main reason, and it's even fun getting a good price on some dream piece of equipment you have been wishing for, but if you don't "liven up" your layout, you might as well have a circle of track on a 4x4 piece of plywood....

For me it is all about the trains. I love trains, and with MR I can see them anytime I want.

What else am I supposed to do? Sit here and drink alcohol ALL day?

I'm an artist who loves locomotives, so I model railroad.
