Any one tried the Faller Bridge kits? How do they look and go together?

I have two on my layout, a through truss and a model of the Bechstahl Viaduct, both of which have been kit-bashed and 'Americanized'. They're good kits, go together well and are quite sturdy. Here are some pictures:

Modified Bechstahl Viaduct

I modified the through truss with additional Central Valley girder bracing

As I said, they're good kits, and can be modified easily.

Thanks. What ASmericanization did you do?

Art: The Bechstahl is originally meant for double-track, but I use it as a single-track bridge. I put some Central Valley heavy girders down the middle of the bridge under the deck, and added some bracing between the deck and the lower girders. On the through-truss, I implemented the girders with Central Valley lattice-work on the struts. It doesn't take long to do, and gives the bridge a little needed 'heft'. Actually, I only bought the Faller through-truss because my hobby shop was out of Central Valley and Walthers single-track truss bridges at the time, and I was anxious to get a bridge installed on my extension. Now I'm glad I did, because the kit was a lot of fun to 'kit-bash.' Straight from the box, it's pretty plain and a little 'light' looking for American equipment.
