I dont mean to start a flame war, but you have no clue what you are talking about! All bachmann is great!!! ( well they could do a little better on some of...yes just some of...their rolling stock ) Bachmann made my first model train ( 6 years ago ) it was a standard line set, and it is still going strong. dosn't have the fine details on the standard line stuff ( but much more durable ) I have a spectrum...finist thing I ever bought. JPM335, I dont think you can go wrong with Bachmann, and if somthing does happen, I have heard that thier repair department is excelent. gtirr, I would like to see you post what you just said on the Bachmann Message Board.
[/quote]

I like my spectrum stuff but the repair department is by NO means excellent. I had a driveshaft break on my spectrum dash 8 (CSX of course[:D]) and i emailed bachman once a week for 2 months. they never responded and i ended up figuring out how to fix it myself. Still runs & looks great but im not impressed with customer service. Anyway maybe i can get an Acela for christmas. Just since i posted this topic i spent all my money on switch machines... 50 of them...[sigh]
