I have a 2-8-2 that started life as an IHC 2-8-0, <br />It ran great, but didnt care for the cast on details. I also had an Athern 2-8-2 that was a bit more detailed then the IHC, but ran like crap.(could never figure out how that thing won MRs product of the year award). I added some piping air tanks, grab irons etc, to the Athern body, modified the IHC chassie to accept it, kept the IHC tender, but took off details from the athern tender and but them on it. Used a set of rear bogey wheels I had on hand for the rear wheels to complete my 2-8-2, now it looks great, and runs great too. also equipped it with DCC
