Last year at the age of 47 it was the first time I had a house and a wife willing to host the family for Thanksgiving. I loved it. This year my wife is in grad school and did not want the responsibility so I promised to handle everything.

My sisters spent this year at their in-laws so the body count was down from 25 to 1. Dad brought the ham but I managed to roast the turkey, make candied mashed sweet potatoes, roasted winter vegetables, and corn bread. My wife did take the time to bake 4 pies. Surprisingly it all went well and dinner was only an hour late.

Gentlemen it is as much work as you have heard but i is worth it.

My brothers and nephews loved the trains even with the track problems.
