I've send an email to Bachmann, let's see if I get a reply. Well, it isn't normal break-in, feels like rotor is actually touching stator at certan place. As for the model - it is DF-11 chinese engine. They are pretty good, DCC ready and better than regular north american Spectrums. I have a short review of DF-4B which is very similar here: http://www.trains.com/community/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=24044 And these actually came very nicely lubricated. I have total of 15 of these, only one came with bad motor. Statistically it is OK for me, but let's see how responsive is Bachmann...
