Can anyone tell me what would be a good color to use to paint a 89' flat car in Trailer Trains 80s paint scheme.I would prefer to use Badger Accuflex paint. Thanks for any suggestions.

Hello Revnhack,

Do youi mean Badger ModelFlex? I'm using it. Very good stuff!

I was around back then and remember seeing those TT cars when new. The color, IMHO, was very similar to the yellow used on the RAILBOX cars back then which were also fairly new. [;)]

When new, the TT and Railboxes looked sharp, but like all bright colors faded rather quickly.

The color is: Badger Model Flex 165-1654

Hope this helps.[:)][:D][8D]

Peace and 10-4!

Another good choice, though you may not be as inclined to use it, as it is Polly Scale, is their TTX yellow. I don't know the product number for it, however.

TrainboyH16-44, I have used Floquil TTX yellow and it is the color of the newer cars from the 90s and later. It doesn't seem to be a bright enough yellow. Is the Polly Scale TTX any brighter than Floquils'.Yes AntonioFP45, I did mean ModelFlex.

Revnhack,

I think that you'll find the Railbox Yellow pretty bright. But remember, even back in my days these colors didn't stay bright for long and faded to an almost orange/yellow-ish color.
