Is there anyway to remove a decal once it's been set with Sol a Set? I recently screwed up a herald on a set of Herald King decals and i need to move it.

you can remove it but it will be destroyed. use the same solution you used to put it on and take a eraser and lightly rub it off. good luck!

depending on how much it's screwed up, you can also leave it on & weather over it. Also, remember, real railroads sometimes make mistakes in their lettering, too! So, you also might want to consider that.

You can also remove the decal with solaset and a fine tip and unused paint brush.Gently work the decal loose with solaset and the brush, you can also relocate/straigthen the decal by doing this.

Contact Miller Advertising. A.K.A. "Herald King",
They can, and do, at least they used to, offer reruns of discontinued decals. Sorry, I don't know if they have a web site, but if they do, I'm sure askjeeves.com can find it.
Good luck! Todd C.

Over the years I have noticed that even the real railroads will apply lettering to freight cars that is crooked or not very even.Usually in such cases it is only off by a little but it's nice to see the real railroads have this problem too.

I believe that Hearld King Decals are out of production but many dealers may have significant inventories. The following web site lists a few dealers as having good inventories but I am not sure how old the page is. Good Luck.
