I would check the book and video sections of any large hobby shop. The one I shop at in Houston, TX has a "used magazine" section. I don't know if these are unsold back issues or trade-ins like at a comic book shop, but they have old issues of MRR, Railroad Model Craftsman, Trains, etc that are several years old, some as early as the 80's. They are all in fairly good shape. Link on left (Find a Hobby Shop) might help. Even if you don't live near one, you could call and see if they will sell/mail it to you?
