Personally I find nothing wrong with polls.... it gives everyone a chance to see what other people prefer and maybe give someone the chance to do a little research at the same time by finding out why someone decided to do what they did.

This is getting downright stupid, if you dont like the polls, you dont have to read them, just cause they are there , no ones forcing you to read them.

Its a bit selfi***o assume that just because a few peolple dont like polls, that every else should be put out by it.

I dont give a whiff about DCC, I'm happy with my ancient Atlas system but I dont post "Please stop with all the DCC questions" on the forum because of it. Move on, its easy to skip the polls, just as its easy to skip all the other threads of little or no interest.

   Have fun with your trains

I doubt that I will ever initiate a poll (but, never say never!).

Anyway, don't read 'em if you don't like 'em. Why get your knickers in a knot over something as trivial as this?

There are much more important things to worry about - like ensuring your beer stays cold, or keeping the toilet paper dry when camping, or ......... keeping the trains from derailing!

i do not read the polls. i pass them by. but lately there have been too many of them with nothing else there. a poll for this a poll for that. it is sometimes nice to know what others feel about things. but there are times when enough is enough. i think that the poll posters are doing nothing but uping their posting numbers to get more stars. maybe polls should be restricted to ones posted by the moderator of this forum. i did take some quiet time and walked my dog around the block before writing this.

Sometimes people post useful info in a poll. And polls are really just another topic, albeit one that has a few special attributes. But you don't have to read it if you don't want.

Probably 15-25 per cent of the topics posted, at the most, are of interest to me. So you all stop posting the ones that aren't, please. [:)] That's a valid a request as "no more polls," in my worthless opinion.

I wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot poll.

Keep the faith csxguy, If you giving away dollar bills someone would gripe that they should be 5 dollar bills.

Has anyone posted a poll to see if we want more or less polls at the forum? Maybe someone could do poll to see if there should be a poll about people who poll us with polls. Actually I think polling in yards was made illegal back in the early part of the 20th. Century as too many people were injured in the practice.......... Sorry! I have nothing better to do tonight. LOL [:o)]

How bout a pole vaulting pole. How many trains can you carry over a pole vault. And is a pole vault a big safe where they keep poles? How about a poll on how tall a flag pole should be. Is that real scale or model scale. Have fun CSXguy. Enjoy.

By the way, are you poll=ish ????? [:)][:)][:)]

I just think its good, especially for us new guys, to see what everyone's into.
Oh and BTW, I'm Polish LOL.
We should have a poll to see who's a Pole!
