Art, My first 2-8-2 developed a squeal going into and coming out of my 22' curves so I received a replacement 13 days later and asked that they pay my return shipping charges. I ran my replacement for two days and then the same squeal developed. Decided that I was stuck with the squeal and decided to keep it. THEN it went from bad to worse,constant and louder. You could hear the noise upstairs. Called Mantua but the repair dept was closed for the week. Then called modelexpo, put the phone to the engine so they could hear the noise, returned it and asked for shipping expenses. Also sent letter to CEO at Mantua and am waiting reply.
