Railbus Prototype Colors-Help
Posted by mersenne6 on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 10:10 AM
Would anyone know the prototype colors of a Mack Railbus? I'm sure it varied somwhat from road to road. The one or two pictures I've seen of the "as built" buses gives the impression of some kind of light colored roof and a near uniform color for the rest of the machine. The interior looks to have lightly painted roofs and some kind of canvas textured seat covers. Information about any road would be appreciated

Well railroads kind of did there own thing. The galloping geese of Rio Grande Southern were painted silver. I would assume the roof was canvas covered as were most celestory passenger cars and would be either beige, gray or black, I would expect most of the bodies to be either black or very dark green but these are just my opinions and color pictures are going to be very rare if they exist at all.
