This is the weekend thread where modelers can show their completed models, work under construction and layout pictures new and old. Let's have a lot of participation this weekend!

Good morning from sunny and mild Northeast Ohio!

Here is what I managed to finish this week!

Our club was gifted with some used equipment and out president gave me this car to rehabilitate, it was an old AHM 40' Gon so I made a pad to mount Kadee Couplers, remove the cast on grabs and replace with wire grabs then painted it with Scalecoat II Black paint and lettered with New Haven decals made by Microscale for a company called Rail Detail.

Next a car I have been working on for a long time, a Kadee 50' PS1 boxcar with a cushion underframe, replaced the sliding door with a 9' YSD Plug Door from Downeast Scale Models, then painted with Floquil Socony Red paint and Scalecoat II Silver and Black Paints, then lettered with decals from Highball Graphics. These were the last boxcars ordered and received by the New Haven in 1966 before Penn Central.

Here is a picture of NewHaven C425 and U25b running on the Strongsville Club Layout with a general freight.

Have a great weekend!

Hi Rick and thanks for opening up this edition of WPF. I like what you did with the AHM car.

The guys at the club started to work on an army base. It inspired me to work on a few cars. Some are still waiting for a new paint job and decals.

Rick,  Thanks for the WPF start-up.  Good seeing the ol' gon getting such a nice make-over.

Simon, Good looking models and a whole lotta' olive drab goin' on.  Will also help make Memorial and Veterans Day more special.

My AS-16 make-over project is moving slower than a snail, so, another re-run.

Thanks to all the contributors and viewers.  Have a good weekend.  Regards, Peter

Nice stuff this week, guys. Too busy to model much. I made some pine tree armatures, no pix, but you've seen pointed sticks before.

Rick, nice work on the NH stuff. it's interesting that a little color adds so much to a gon. NH had some classy paint schemes.

Simon, looks like the club layout is on it's way to being well defended.

Peter, you sure do capture that quiet evening atmosphere so well.

See you next WPF. Dan
