When I had the bars, I too had the same problem, Bridge the gap. Take a short piece of wire, thick enough to seat into the hole, just long enough to make contact with the tab and the LIGHTS will stay on. Before you snap the roof into place, pretest. No soldering needed. That should be a tight fit if you use a thick enough piece.
