I'm currently working with these guys:

And it seems things will work out well. From what I can tell, these are about typical prices.

Mark

I had GMC Graphics do mine and over all I was quite happy. The prices are really good too. If you go to my railimages site you'll see some of his work. Had some done in gold leaf as well and they are sharp! www.gmcgraphics.com

About 12 years ago I had Railgraphics do decals for my prototype short line the Washington & Old Dominion. He did a great job on the logo, and the overall quality of these decals is in my opinion is higher than Champ, at least equal to Microscale. Service and customer contact were also excellent. I thought the price was quite reasonable for what I got. He has a small box ad in most issues of MR and you can find it in the advertsiers' index.

Having said that, digitally printing decals on decal paper was really not an optoin for me at that time. Nor were digital cameras available at consumer prices. Today, I would very seriously consider doing it myself; I've done some simple decals for signage and the like, and it worked great. But you won't get professional-looking results just using something like Word; I have Corel Draw and several photo editing packages. If you have to invest more than, at most, $50 in software or equipment, you'd be better off hiring a pro.

Try:

Why these guys don't advertise in MR, I don't know. Maybe it's because they are getting around by word of mouth.

I have used ELS Trains with great results. The owner is an outstanding individual with top of the line customer service skills. I highly recommend him. He'll give you a fair deal and he'll do a great job too.

I have bought a good printer and the decal paper from Walthers and made my own decals. Best part about my printer is that the ink is water proof.
