The Duchy of Holstein, to which Altona belonged, was entrusted to the Danish throne, with the people not even speaking Danish. The duchy became part of the Kingdom of Prussia, following the short, but bloody Prussian-Danish war of 1864. Those were the days ... Good Morning! Closing in on lunchtime, so this will be just a short stop for me! Icy cold, but sunny weather again. I´d wish I could go for a walk, but I have sprained my knee and can hardly move around.
