Hey guys - anyone got a lead on a complete source for HO Code 83 track and turnouts? Am putting together shopping list for new layout in addition to salvaged items from old one and having a great deal of difficulty in finding what I need. ME and Peco are preferences. Need 150ft. of flex and assorted #5 and #8 turnouts. Finding mostly one-sies and two-sies here and there and lots of LH turnouts only somewhere else or track but just in concrete. Getting a headache after all afternoon at this. Not excited about outrageous prices on eBay. Any guidance appreciated. Thanks, Geoff
LION buys from Trainworld in Brooklyn. The advertize in MR. I bought Model Power code 100 track in meter lengths, boxes of 100 pieces. Went through three boxes on my layout. (Cheapest, you know, but then if you are looking a Peco or ME, then m oney is no object to you.)

Talk with your local hobby shop owner. They can work with you to get the things you need. My LHS gives me twenty percent off retail for in stock track, turnouts, and roadbed. If it's a special order then I get ten percent. He almost always has everything I need. Wish he would do the same for locomotives and rolling stock.

I agree with Pete. I've been going to my local hobby shop about once a month since I started building my layout over a year ago, and I'd buy two or three pieces of Atlas code 83 flex track every time I went in. That way I always had a few to work with, or to think with if I wasn't quite ready to lay it down.
If I had money to buy in bulk it might have cost less in the end, but my LHS guy sells it for less than Atlas does on their own site, less than Walthers, so I didn't feel I was paying out the nose.
There was only one occasion when he had run out, because the pandemic had created a lag in shipping from his source. I have bought turnouts online from Cherry Creek and from Hiawatha Hobbies.

Trainworld in New York City has Peco Code 83 #5 and #8 Insulfrog and Electrofrog turnouts in stock as well as Code 83 flex track by the case. I'm not sure how many turnouts of each style they have on hand.
Their current in stock selection of ME products is limited.
My recent dealings with Trainworld tell me that they are an excellent company.

Midwest Model Railroad shows to have 335 Peco code 83 flex track pieces in stock. Decent price. Also have significant number of Peco #8 Electrofrog RH and LH turnouts in stock.

Thanks all for your interest and suggestions. Lined up 6 stores on 6 tabs across my browser and went to work comparing pricing along the way. My shopping list included a considerable amount of scenery materials as well, mostly WS. Took a good day and half. Frustration example: finding a couple of bridges but then no satisfactory abutments. Found nice abutments but didn't work for bridge or out of stock everywhere. Others would have the LH turnouts I wanted but no RH. You get the picture. Nevertheless, perseverence paid off (which was very helpful with a high three figure order). Nevertheless, I went with all Peco and found just about everything at Blue Ridge Hobbies in SC with remaining items at Yankee Dabbler. Interestingly, 150' of Code 83 by the 3' discounted section at BRH was cheaper than 2 75' bundles elsewhere. FYI.
