I've seen ads for this train display north of Cincinnati for years but haven't heard much about other than the ads. It's about a two hour drive from where I live. Does anyone have any opinions about whether it would be worth the drive. I thought I might combine this with a visit to the Cincinnati Union Station museums. I've driven past the station numerous times but have never been inside the building.

I went there a few years back on the way home and enjoyed it very much. It's definitely worth visiting.
If you like Art Deco, Union Station is beautiful and a must-see. And, if you have the time & opportunity, take the behind-the-scenes tour of the station, which I think is free or is a nominal fee. The station contains an IMAX theater, The Children's Museum(?), and The Natural History Museum.
Be sure to visit Concourse A(?). You can watch a lot a loading, unloading, and switching in operation in the yard.

I went there about 10 years ago when I was at Dayton for a trip. I enjoyed it. I could not remember the details but the layout was pretty large. It is next to highway so is very convenient. It is worth to visit if it is on your way. Have fun!

I saw it many years ago. At that time it was all big scale stuff -- not like going to the San Diego museum.
I live about an hour and a half away and have visited many times. Personally, I think it's fantastic. It is all large scale trains arranged into three eras, early, middle period, and modern. There are tons of well detailed scratchbuilt structures and many animations. A volunteer crew stays busy adding and improving things all the time. It's always clean and well maintained with numerous trains operating. I have a strong interest in old amusement parks and the operating model of Cincy's Coney Island park is a highlight for me. Check out some of the many YouTube videos, including the Entertrainment Junction YouTube page with behind the scenes info. Union Station is also well worth the visit. The Cincy History Museum has a large layout representing Cincy from the 1940s (S scale I think).
